Lame.

People are way too sensitive and dependent these days.. or maybe I'm just too cold. Either way, I don't care about a lot. I noticed that today. I got the second highest award you could get at the competition. I didn't smile, I just went to get chicken fingers. I think its because it was a really old poem, that does not represent who I am, nor what I believe anymore. It was militant as fuck. I think I wasn't proud of myself because I wrote the poem for an audience, and not for myself. I knew they'd like it, but it has no connection them liking me, because the poem was not me. I feel like a sell out. So anyway, damn, I need to get out of new jersey for a bit. I'm getting antsy here. Any ideas on where to go? Here
s a poem for the moment!

even if i left here,
i'd have no where to go.
no place called home.
no place like home in my chest,
I am heartless.

unblessed,
no rest,
just stress.
just one huge, fucking mess.
chaos dressed
in serenity.
i am my own worst enemy.

Let me know what you think.

Moving on, I hate my fucking life for not being at this show. I would've seriously spazzed in a fit of excitement. for those who dont know, Saul Williams is my idol. All time favorite poet, better than the dead ones to me. Great fucking music. And if that doesn't sell him..he's married to Persia White. Anway, peep this version of Black Stacey w/ Matisyahu. oh my fuck.

Black Stacey / Saul Williams ft. Matisyahu

I really liked the poem. I'm always at my most creative when I am angry / distressed. I find solace in the arts.

The song: THAT IS ILLLLLLLLL.

Matisyahu has been one of my favourite artists for quite a long time now and anything with him in will be a hit with me. Saul Williams was cool. The rap at the end was sick. "You can take your aim, but you can't kill the truth."
