Do You Want To Buy Me Lunch?

I skipped lunch to write. Too broke for that shit. I'm at the library. I have some poetry on my account for school, that I don't have at home. It's mostly stuff I had to write for assignments. Here's one.We had to write about powdering our noses with an axe. Enjoy.

The Family Nose

When I look at myself
When I see myself
I am smacked
in the face
with the scent of
smallpox blankets
and tight gripped nooses
and emaciated children
and religious persecution
and sugar cane cells
and broken wishing wells
and my father.
And I
Am thoroughly disgusted
by the pain my beauty upholds.
All the silent stepped on souls.
God knows
if these hands were blessed with an axe
I would hack
and hack
And HACK
until my ancestry went unexposed
By the bones that compose my nose.

That's it for now children. Here's a song to match the moment. LET'S PLAY!
